The Mosquito. Definitely a bit of trickery. It could have been done in the darkroom but was, in fact, shot in the camera. A special effect filter was used that allowed the centre image to be taken separately to the surrounding image on the same frame of film, as long as the camera has a multiple exposure device. A small aperture is also used to give a reasonably clear separation of the two shots, and also to achieve a good depth of field. The map is an OS publication for Lincolnshire, showing bomber airfields, and the mosquito picture was from a book on WW2 bombers. Whilst not a prize winner, it does show what can be done with a little thought, and was a lot of fun to do.
